Gawd I miss UU. I kept waiting for these people that were promising to release something internet capable and I’d pay $50 or $100 for some server software I could host — totally serious. I had lost faith in the idea they’d ever release anything and secretly hoped they’d give up and release the source so I could eventually deploy something on my own. Circa 2007 there was some UU drama with regards to people (like me, but certes not me) wanting the source. I know why they want it and it’s not what he said. They all know they could get something deployed and darklock didn’t seem to be doing it.
All the way at the bottom of that page, there’s a link and all the way at the bottom of that it seems to show Garth feels the same way I do. He’ll never release a thing.
I don’t know who Troy is, but here’s hoping he releases something. Troy, you can’t hear me and I don’t know who you are, but I will pay for a game I can host for my friends and maybe others. I will pay.
